Bruichladdich Links – Carnoustie

The latest in the Bruichladdich Links series features the  Carnoustie links course, home of the 2007 British Open championship played on a  public links course. Located 6 miles east of Dundee at the mouth of the Firth of Tay, golf has been played over Carnoustie’s  North Sea coast links since 1527 The  6th  in the Bruichladdich Links series features Graeme Baxter’s panoramic painting of the par 4 15th  hole, where the infamous Barry Burn flows. Carnoustie’s final three holes are recognized as golf’s toughest finishing stretch as Jean Van de Velde  found out when he discovering the burn cost him the 1999 championship.

Matured for 14years in Quercus Alba oak Bourbon casks we gave it an additional cask evolution in exquisite French Allier oak from possible the finest chateau in the world.

This bottling is limited to a worldwide release of 12,000 numbered bottles.

Bruichladdich Links “K Club”

The 7th in the Links series, The K Club is considered to be Ireland’s finest course, located outside the village of Straffan in Kildare,  15 miles south west of Dublin. Designed by Arnold Palmer, the par 5, 16th hole is featured in a painting by leading golf course artist Graeme Baxter.

The whisky was matured for 14 years in Quercus Alba Bourbon casks with additional cask evolution (ACE) in Guigal's French casks from Cotes Rotie and  Hermitage.

This bottling is limited to a worldwide release of 12,000 numbered bottles.

To date, all the Links series have been bottled deliberately at 14 years providing an interesting comparison of cask types and ACE influences. Naturally bottled on Islay with out chill-filtration, colouring-free, and  reduced from cask to bottling strength with the legendary Islay spring water. Previous releases are St. Andrews, Augusta, Turnberry, Troon, Hoylake and Carnoustie.
