About this deal

When a guy follows Kitty Collins home from a night club she is annoyed that she has to be frightened, so she fights back and kills him. Or maybe you didn’t like sausage rolls to begin with and can tolerate this “vegan” beating you over the head about how the mincer at the local pork processing plant is the best way to turn your latest victim into upscale pigs in blankets.

So, before you decide to hop on to this ride, do check the trigger warnings on the various themes that the book serves. But I'm not a fan of using a novel to pontificate like a mofo just because you're a passionate vegan. Through Kitty she showed the hypocritical thinking of people with enough wealth to not have to worry about their actions. The end gets a little messy, which can be the difference between a 3star and 4star rating, at least for me. However, Kitty’s wit and cynicism of the world around her and her (often unwitting accidental) homicides, create an engaging character who you root for. However, despite the adorable initial banter and flirting, I was not completely sold on the romance since a lot is told and not shown.

Although grateful for the freedom that her thousands of followers give her to enjoy the luxurious lifestyle that she has become accustomed to, Kitty uses her profile brilliantly to hide what she believes is her real job in the world: to rid the Earth of undeserving men! Firstly, the cover and the title – I will be honest I picked this up only for its title and the cover. I want to live in a world where I don’t have to keep my keys between my fingers in case I’m attacked walking home. The premise of this story is fantastic and while I didn’t expect things to get quite this dark and twisted, I think I enjoyed How To Kill Men And Get Away With It even more because of it. I would say that if you threw “Sex and the City”, “Dexter”, and “Promising Young Woman” into a blender and hit the on button, you would more or less get “How to Kill Men and Get Away With It”.There are points where it does get serious and it reels you in but otherwise, it takes on a casual tone for almost everything including events that can be highly triggering. Every interaction with the police was an absolute joke, one asking for a selfie and the other wondering when she's getting back on insta cuz her sister is worried. A well-rounded cast of characters, quick pace, and thrilling twists make this one of my favourites of the year! Social Networker and Instagram influencer, she spends her days pushing products she doesn’t care about, and longs to have something worthwhile in her life, and that something worthwhile just happens to be murder. How to Kill Men was an absolute treat to read, sending out American Psycho and Promising Young Women vibes (both of which are faves of mine), Kitty narrates her 'Made in.
