About this deal

One day soon I will return to bring you and all my followers to the heavenly home that I have prepared for you (John 14:2). I will wipe away your tears and take away your pain forever (Revelation 21:3-4) and I will reward you for all the good that you’ve done in my name (Revelation 22:12). Heaven will be more beautiful and wonderful than you can imagine (Revelation 21:10-27). There you will sing with angels (Revelation 7:9-17), feast at banquets (Matthew 22:14), and rule over cities (Luke 19:11-26). Jesus said He was going to prepare a place for you if you belong to Him (John 14:1-4). The New Jerusalem, on the new earth, is that place. As we read the Bible and immerse ourselves in God’s truth and character, our lives are changed—we become more like Him. God’s Word is a powerful litmus test for our souls and actions. As our lives center on God, giving priority to hearing His voice and reading His Word, we become bolder in sharing our faith. Ezekiel is the prophet of the glory of the Lord…. Ezekiel looked beyond the sufferings of Christ to the glory that should follow. Some days are easier than others. Some days you pray to me with joy bubbling from your heart. I tell the sun to shine on your face and watch as you dance, laugh, kiss, feel free. In those moments, I know that you are living the way I intended—peacefully, abundantly, and in my light—and I try to show you how beautiful life can be.

You fall and make mistakes; you do things you regret. You know what it means to stand in the heat of temptation feelingrotten because of how strongly you are tempted by your lusts. You understand the feeling of dejection when you give in to temptation in a moment of weakness and when it feelslike things could never be made right again. You might have feltat one point that God is angry with you. You might even have doubted that you have received forgiveness. During difficult times, the hope of eternity gives us strength. If you’re prone to worry yourself to sleep each night, turn your thoughts upward and close your eyes thinking of heaven and its eternal throne. All over the Bible, you read about God’s love for his people. We learn the story of creation, the fall, and the beautiful plan of redemption that God has for us.

Father’s Love Letter Pulled From Scripture

By this we know love, that he laid down his life for us, and we ought to lay down our lives for the brothers.” 1 John 3:16 No matter what happens, your soul will be safe in my hands (John 10:28). Like a mother bird, I’ll cover you with my feathers in my nest (Psalm 91:1-4). When rivers of difficulty roar, you will not be swept away. When fiery trials blaze, you will not be burned (Isaiah 43:2). When war breaks out, I will be your fortress, an ever-present help in trouble (Psalm 46). Even when you face death, I will take you by the hand and lead you on the joyful path to eternal life (Psalm 16:9-11). Kierkegaard gave us a good example, in my opinion, of such a limited use. Here’s what he says in For Self-Examination: My precious child, know that everything will work together for your good, because you love me. You have been called according to my purpose. For I knew you before you were born and I predestined you to be conformed to the likeness of my Son, Jesus Christ. This is your destiny, and this is your purpose, that you become one with my Son Jesus, and thus one with me. I created you in my image so that you and I can express love to each other. The most intimate relationship you can have is with me because you and I are becoming one. You and your brothers and sisters that believe in me are becoming one with Jesus, and thus one with me. You in me, and me in you, together, unified by my love for you. You were designed for this purpose, nothing else will ever satisfy your deepest needs, your deepest desires, only I can. Because you seek to know me I satisfy your heart with love, joy, and peace that only I can give you.

These words have not been made up by myself, but have truly been given by the Lord Himself, as the Bible says: Is it not natural to suppose that as our dependence is greater, our attachment is stronger? I find in my own breast a sympathetic power always operating upon the near approach of letters from my dearest friend. I cannot determine the exact distance when this secret charm begins to operate. The time sometimes longer, sometimes shorter. The busy sylphs are ever at my ear, no sooner does Morpheus close my eyes, than “my whole soul, unbounded flies to thee.” P.S. If it’s hard for you to trust my words and to receive my love in your heart, then I urge you to work through this with one of my ambassadors (2 Corinthians 5:20)— a spiritual director or soul friend— and to get involved in a caring community in the body of Christ where you can grow into my love (Romans 12:5). The Ultimate Expression of God’s Love For You! Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? I want you to know something. I created you. I knew who you were, who you would become long before you were even born. I knew that you would grow up, that you would fall down, that sometimes you would question yourself even though you were made in my image and I love you so very much.

Verses from God’s Love Letter That Remind You of His Love

In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him.” 1 John 4:9 But it seems to me the main gist of Kierkegaard’s point is that the way we relate to the Bible will evidence what we think of the Bible’s role in the context of our relation to God. The ultimate objective of our reading of the Bible shouldn’t be academic knowledge (information for information’s sake) or doctrinal understanding, but action, transformation, response. The Bible is important because it derives from God and makes ultimate sense in the context of our relation to God–not the other way around. One of the influences on Kierkegaard’s theological education was the biblical scholar H.N. Clausen. Clausen was a student of Schleiermacher and a devotee of the “rational” and philological approach to synthesizing the Bible’s meaning. See Elrod, Kierkegaard and Christendom, 31.
